The Vanshades Chair Pod® enables you to travel with your camping chairs securely stored, in otherwise unutilised space, at the back of your Camper or Kombi van.

Two lightweight chairs weighing at just 2.2kg (support 100kg) each are included within a sleek storage solution which is moulded to the tailgate of your VW T5/T6.

The chairs are held in place behind the clasped magnetic lid of the Chair Pod®, and secure enough to ensure there are two less items rattling around the back of your van on every trip.

With quick and easy action, involving no clips, straps or fiddly buttons, the chairs can be removed from the Chair Pod® in seconds once the tailgate is open.

The unit takes up as little at 80mm at the rear of the vehicle, we have formed the product in light grey plastic to match the VW trims on the pillars of the Transporter. The Chair Pod® can be fully installed in as little as 20 minutes.

Please note we do recommend upgrading your tailgate gas struts if your vehicle has gas struts which are less than 1250 newtons.

If you have a rear wash wiper, the motor housing will need removing in order fit the Chair Pod®. In this case, we recommend fitting a Window Pod® to act as the new motor housing. Please note the Window Pod® will need trimming down, to fit over the Chair Pod® (if both products are ordered simultaneously, our production team will supply the Window Pod® trimmed). There is a raised ABS plastic guide line on the Window Pod® to ensure a clean cut for any customers who haven’t ordered both products together.

Please ensure you have sufficient room at the rear of your vehicle to allow for the 80mm depth of the Chair Pod®.

Please note: The Vanshades Chair Pod we stock is the black version of this product, not grey.
